This course will focus on what organisations must do to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 on a day to day basis and considers the challenges of striking a balance between the rights of people to privacy and the ability of organisations to use information about those people for the purpose of their business. It also looks at some real examples of enforcement action taken by the Information Commissioner’s Office and some recent some legal cases.
